Review by: Randy Lockhart on July 26, 2011
An absolute must have book for self healing and mindfulness. My Wife and I have been friends with Janet and Walter for many years now and and not only do I work with them on their websites, but we also share many other things in life as well like health issues and how to deal with them. I feel privileged and honored to have a mention in this must have book under the Chapter “Right Attitude Overcomes Challenges”, as it relates to my own challenges after suffering many heart attacks and the challenges I had to face afterwards. You can read more about my story “4 heart attacks and counting” here www.webhostmagazinecanada.com

Purchase this e-book Purchase for only $9.99 USD A must have e-book

Her degree comes from the University of Life following her inner guidance to align with her God-essence. Some of her friends and coworkers thought her a bit eccentric. While they were out getting high she was learning about various psychological disorders and addiction in abusive relationships. She was discovering recurring threads linking early childhood development with similarities in behavioral patterns later in life. Along with her spirit guided studies Linda has had a 12 year career as a professional visual artist whereby she learned that creating true art involves more than just the techniques of making pretty pictures. She learned that her inner self was in conflict with her outer self causing her to experience a lot of fragmentation and collapses in her physical world.

She now lives in the mountains with her two carnivorous dogs as well as the Beloved Vegetarian Husband. She has always wanted to have her own publishing company. Now she does. Let’s see what she makes of it.

Mike Madrid, popular culture editor, is a San Francisco based refugee from the world of advertising. His personal goal is to take all of the trivial information that he has collected in his brain for the last 40+ years and produce something that will inform and entertain the other citizens of planet Earth. He never leaves the house without a handkerchief, appreciates a good margarita, and dreams of a world free of Julia Roberts movies. Like Joan Jett, he loves rock n’ roll.

Bob Irwin, photography editor, lives in San Francisco where he takes a lot of pictures.

Alison Week, ace intern, was born with a book to her nose. It was surgically removed at adolescence, and she entered society a relatively average girl with a lot of ideas. Later she realized this wasn’t a genetic mutation, but a communicable disease. Good books have a way of getting around. She wants to help them do it.

For 18 years she appeared weekly on a children’s Bible-story television program. At the same time she was Program Director for Good News Recording Co. writing the scrips for their daily Spanish radio program “Palabras De Vida” which was aired by stations in all parts of the Spanish Speaking World. At the death of her father, James W. Mason, she assumed the presidency of the organization.

Her daughter Margaret , also a musician, recording artist and television personality, says, “Mother is a born teacher with an insatiable desire for knowledge, also, the love and ability to share the treasures found, she taught me all twelve grades of school as well as to play six musical instruments. Her time, talents and means have but one goal to help people know Jesus, understand his written word and experience the reality of His Holy Spirit.

Dorothy Weymann went to her heavenly home on Feb. 6, 2011. What a celebration there must have been for this Front Line Warrior coming home!! The numbers of people there to greet her as their spiritual Mom and Grand mom would probably be very mind boggling. She had spent her life up to the last hours proclaiming God’s Word to the masses, including everyone that came anywhere near her.

It is a book that Sophia started as a hobby over ten years ago. As an avid reader, she was inspired by many of the great romantic writers, and was convinced she could write a story that was engrossing and enjoyable. Shades and Shadows is that story, and has received wide-spread positive reviews. The Romantic Times chose Shades and Shadows as a Top Pick for January 2005, and rated it with 4.5 stars (out of five).

When not editing, I work for one of Canada’s largest insurance companies, editing policies and handling many other administrative tasks.

Writing and editing became my trademark when I was very small. I was always scribbling down something or other, and agonizing anytime I read something that wasn’t quite right. It’s become my goal in life to build a career out of what I love: creativity and the unique expression of ideas.

One of the most important things I believe about the editor-author relationship is that, no matter how many parties are involved, everybody should work together as a team. It’s not enough for any editor to simply sweep through someone’s manuscript, unload a heap of notes and corrections on an author, and leave him or her to it. After all, anyone can be a writer, but if all writers were able to bring the same fresh perspective and ability to isolate areas of improvement to their own work that editors can, people like me would be out of a job. But editors need authors just as much: the author is the best and most informed resource about the story that the editor can hope to draw upon. Somewhere between author pride and editor scrutiny is the publishable book.

After suffering a broken back in a car accident in the late 1990′s and nearly losing her writing career, Linda worked for years in physical therapy, then had an adjustable gastric band placed in 2003.

Since then she’s lost over 140 pounds and a dozen dress sizes. More importantly, she regained her life, her career, and has turned her story telling skills toward writing novels in addition to technical books.

Her specialty is making technical subjects more personal by including stories, or case studies, of ordinary people solving real-world problems.

Linda’s focus is to encourage. Through her books, she works to inspire and motivate readers. And she offers practical workshops for writers.
