The Queen of Diamonds: Cruise with Riley in 2004

To me, Randy and Sharon Lockhart of www.canadahost.ca, web hosting services, represent what community spirit is. Knowing them is an honor.
And it is with this spirit in mind, I wish to take this opportunity to thank them both for the opportunity to come aboard and write this article.

To the Guests

I thank you for signing the guest birthday card when boarding the ship. After the event, I met up with Riley. He again expressed his heart-felt thanks to each of you. Here are some shared words from the guest book:

‘Life is not measured by the breath you take, but rather by the number of moments that take your breath away. Wishing you lots of moments.’ –Bev

‘Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent with us on your special day.’ –Audrey

An Interview with Riley…
When speaking with Riley about his music, I heard a great passion for people, God, and life. Riley said, ‘Music is such a universal language…I enjoy doing music, and thank God for the gifts given…and you know its all about making society a bigger, better place.’

We talked about his passion to help children with the STOP Project. ‘You can be a total winner, even if you are just a beginner. If you think you can, you can. You have a chance in this great nation. You can redirect inflation. If you think you can, you can…. There is no time to lose, but plenty of time to win. If you think you can, you can.’

‘The song, My Girl is always a hit,’ says Riley. ‘People always start singing during Papa was a Rolling Stone. Stand By Me is another great one,’ Riley continued. ‘I enjoyed singing Pump and Bump from the Soul Mate LP too.’

Riley’s music is sung to the world, for the world. I wish to thank Riley for saying that each person is ‘a light in the world’.
